Without traceability, a contamination event means pulling everything from the affected period — averaging $10M in direct costs and up to 10× more in brand damage. See how lot-level traceability narrows the scope to exactly the affected product.

    How Julian Date Barcodes Work

Every bin barcode encodes a 5-digit Julian date — the first two digits are the year, the last three are the day of the year. For example, 26182 = 2026, day 182 = July 1. This links every barcode to a specific receiving date, making it impossible for time to blur the chain of custody. Even years after processing, any barcode can be decoded back to the exact arrival date.
