How to Install on Your Android Tablet
These apps install directly on your Android 13 tablet (not through the Play Store). Follow these steps and you'll be done in about a minute.
Download in Chrome
On the tablet, open this page in Chrome and tap Download APK. The file saves to your Downloads folder. You can ignore any "this type of file can harm your device" notice — that's normal for app files.
Open it in Files by Google
Open the Files by Google app, go to Downloads, and tap the FairPick .apk file. Installing from the Files app is the most reliable way to install on Android 13 tablets.
Allow this one time
The first time, Android asks to "allow installs from this source." Tap Settings, turn on "Allow from this source" for Files by Google, then press Back. You only do this once — after that, installs just work.
Tap Install
Back on the .apk, tap Install, then Open when it finishes. Installing over an older version keeps all your existing settings — nothing is lost.
Open & sign in
Launch FairPick from your home screen and sign in with your innov8.ag credentials. Pair your scale and you're ready for harvest.
Stuck on a greyed-out setting? (Android 13)
If the app later asks for a permission and the switch is greyed out with a message like "For your security, this setting is currently unavailable," that's Android 13's safety gate. To clear it:
- Open Settings → Apps and tap FairPick.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap "Allow restricted settings."
- Go back and turn on the permission the app asked for.
All apps are published and signed by innov8.ag. If your tablet warns that the app is from an unknown developer, that's normal for apps installed outside the Play Store — it's safe to continue.
