Location: Yakima & Wenatchee

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Salary: $18-21 per hour

Job Description:

Innov8.ag is seeking a reliable and experienced ATV Driver (photo on home page) to join our team. As an ATV Driver, you will be responsible for operating all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to support our data operations. Your main duties will include transporting equipment and materials, scanning blocks, possible calibrations, soil sampling, and performing general field operations tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate ATVs to transport equipment, materials, and personnel around the farm

  • Perform general field ops tasks such as scanning blocks during planting, blossom, thinning, & harvest

  • Apply calibrations or conduct soil sampling after scanning is complete

  • Maintain the ATVs in good working condition by performing routine maintenance and cleaning

  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations when operating ATVs

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old or older

  • Possess a valid driver's license

  • Have a clean driving record

  • Ability to operate an ATV in a safe and responsible manner

  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

  • Pass a background check

AgAID- Undergraduate Research Internship

The AgAID Institute’s mission is to build and foster partnerships between AI and Ag communities, and create a transdisciplinary ecosystem for technology innovation and knowledge transfer. Are you an undergraduate student looking for a cool research opportunity that allows you to work at the interface of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and agricultural applications? We're looking for students interested in developing or applying AI tools for improved water resource modeling, improved decision making on farms, creative robotics solutions for agricultural automation, and seeing how to take the latest AI tools and algorithmic principles and put them to practice to solve real-world, challenging tasks.

Host Institutions 

Internships are in-person at WSU (Pullman, Prosser, Wenatchee), OSU (Corvallis), and UC Merced (Merced).

Who Should Apply

This internship accepts applications from rising juniors, seniors, and outstanding sophomores who would enjoy working on interdisciplinary projects with leading experts in computer science and agriculture and are majoring in at least one of computer science/engineering, agricultural, biological, electrical engineering, crop science, life sciences, or other related areas at a US-based institution. Students interested in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, data science, sensor and drone deployment, and/or specialty crop agriculture are strongly encouraged to apply.
